Tom and Timmy stole away to the chicken house while David and Jima ran into the woods around the chicken house. Their plan was for Tom and Timmy to peek in and see what's going on while David and Jima watched from a distance until needed. The two brothers got closer and peeked in the door. All the chickens were gathered around this big lumpy thing with jagged edges.

"What is that?" asked Timmy quietly.

"It looks like some sort of machine," Tom replied.

"What I want to know," Timmy mumbled, "is what are they doing with it?"

"Let's see," said Tom coolly.

They peaked around the corner again. They saw the chickens swarming all over the mysterious lump with their cies. At the front cies looked like half screwdriver and half wrench and it looked like a hammer from behind.

Timmy turned around and motioned for David and Jima to come. "What's happening?" asked David

"I think they're building something," said Tom.

"Oh."

"Let's go back to our barn and get some tools," said Tom.

When the turkeys got back to the chicken house, they found the chickens off of their "machine" and staring at it.

One chicken yelled, "This will pick up all the food on the farm so that nobody else can eat but us!

Another yelled, "Especially the turkeys!"

A short chicken with red stockings yelled, "What an awesome vacuum cleaner!"

A fat chicken half yelled, half screamed, "I can't wait for all that food!"

Peeking around the corner, the turkeys were furious. "That's it," said Tom. "They want to eat all the food on the farm!

"I've got it!" exclaimed Timmy suddenly. "We'll use our tools to mess up their plans. We can use our shovels to dig a tunnel underground that branches out to all the farm houses which have food and water. As soon the vacuum cleaner puts weight on the floor it will collapse into the tunnel. Then, all the food goes down in the tunnel before the vacuum cleaner can get it."

"Let's get to work then," said Tom.

About an hour later Jima heard a machine in the distance, "I wonder what that strange noise is?" she thought.

Timmy ran up to her and asked, "Do you hear that?"

"I think it's the vacuum cleaner!" squealed Jima as the sound went off again.

"Hey Tom! Hey David!" Timmy yelled.

"What is it?" asked David.

"They're using their vacuum cleaner," Timmy exclaimed jumping up and down on his two short legs. The family went off in the direction of the noise. Soon the turkeys reached the feed barn and watched with satisfaction as their plan unfolded.

Tom said finally, "Let's get back to the house."

The chickens were so mad that they started squawking their little heads off night and day. Tom said, "They'll find out soon who caused the trouble. I'm sure of that."
