The BooksByChildren Internet Library is intended to be a source of quality and wholesome reading and research materials. We recognize that the definition of "quality" and "wholesome" may vary from person to person. However, by signing the Submission Form, and submitting your story or picture, you will be acknowledging that you agree to accept BooksByChildren's decision as to whether or not your submission, in the sole opinion of BooksByChildren, meets BooksByChildren's standard for "quality" and "wholesomeness." Further, that apart from your agreement to accept the decision of BooksByChildren, without dispute, BooksByChildren would not accept, review, or consider your submission. If BooksByChildren does not accept your submission, it will be, at the sole option of BooksByChildren, either returned to you, or discarded or modified to remove the objectionable part.

Accepted submissions will be published on the Internet, by BooksByChildren, in a format compatible with both Netscape and Windows Explorer browsers. They will be published for ninety [90] days and then removed from the Library, with the exception that stories or pictures deemed of sufficient quality to be placed in the Honor Roll, will remain for an extended period of time as determined by BooksByChildren. BooksByChildren may modify some of the pictures and/or stories to include animation and/or a "Read To Me" feature. Further, it may be necessary for BooksByChildren to reduce the size of some pictures submitted, and/or reorganize the order or placement of some contents to make it easier for viewers to view and/or download the story and pictures. However, most written submissions will be scanned on a scanner and published on the Internet in substantially the form received. This means among other things, that if your submission is done in light pencil or light colors, it may be very difficult for viewers to read or see. Further, if it contains spelling or other errors, they will still be there on the Internet published version. For examples, look at existing stories and pictures in the BooksByChildren Internet Library.

Your story or picture should have your name, grade, teacher, and school at the top [reverse side for pictures], but NO ADDRESS shown on it; your address should only appear on the Submission Form. Stories may include pictures. For the purpose of awarding Prizes and Scholarships [click here to go to Prizes & Scholarships], submissions will not be judged based on length or how they look on the Internet, but rather on the quality of the original submission. Stories must be typed on legal size paper, or smaller, for grades 9-12 and college. We will attempt to accommodate unusual sizes or shapes, such valentines as an example, but they must not be larger than a legal size piece of paper.
